Landscapes & Architectural From The Alberta Badlands.

A landscape photography trip east of Calgary to the Alberta Badlands and the ghost town of Dorothy was amazing, so much open space, big skies and amazing scenery. The photography opportunities are endless, I must have taken 500 photos from that trip, this is just one.

So desolate and un-touched, the Alberta Badlands are a sight to see. This is a barren landscape and I was surprised to see cactus growing.

Interesting skies of the City of Calgary.

This cityscape was taken just west of Centre St. looking south over the city.

Architecture Of Days Gone By.

I love photographing these old buildings and the old architecture, full of history and a bit creepy, perfect!

They almost seem untouched, like everyone just got up and left town, I guess they did.

The light through the windows makes for some interesting and spooky images.

This would be a perfect location for a fashion shoot, all that contrast and cool lighting.

Old Repair Shop Store Front Alberta, Not Quite Commercial Property but cool architecture!

The sign on the far right reads "We Repair Anything" but the couch and chair are in some serious need, but that's what makes the photo.

But better yet, a model sitting in one of those chairs would have been perfect!

Alberta Canola Fields Landscapes.

They seem to go on for miles, and they do out in the prairies. Miles and miles of bright yellow canola fields are a sight to see. The colours at times almost look fluorescent and the clouds cast amazing shadows.

The sky goes on forever.....

Grain Silos On A Clear Day in The Prairies of Alberta.

These old grain silos are in great shape and stand proud over the fields below. This photo was from Rowley Alberta as well as the old repair shop above.

So much sky takes some time to get used to as you can see for what seems like forever.

Kananaskis Valley Alberta Canada.

A meandering creek runs through the Kananaskis Valley in the Alberta's Rocky Mountains. The clouds made for some interesting lighting and the scenery was unbelievable! At any view point another picturesque vista appears.

The drive up through Canmore on the dirt roads leading through Kananaskis Valley is a trip to remember.
