I photographed this baby great horned owl on several occasions, watching the fledgling grow and finally learn to fly was thrilling to see, amazing to photograph. The owlets meals included starlings, rabbits, ground squirrels, ducks and everything in between, all dropped off by either mom or dad great horned owl. I have 100’s of photos of this little fledgling owl, here are just a few showing three different days and stages of growth, all overcast or low light, oldest to newest.
